The Mount Robson Inn Story

Who we are.

“Since the 1970s, we have had the privilege of running a family business in a beautiful mountain town. Our family’s hotel business story begins in Jasper and in 2012, the Mountaineer Lodge was added, and then 10 years later, in 2022, the Best Western Plus in Valemount, BC became the third hotel to make up the trio of hotels we operate.

Our family grew up in the mountains, skiing, hiking, snowmobiling, and creating memories in these beautiful landscapes. It is our desire to encourage people to have many of the same experiences we have had. We want to ensure that our team members have safe adventures and fulfilling experiences while they are with us in Lake Louise.

Since moving to a new community can be tough, we try our best to provide an atmosphere where you can feel comfortable talking with management and other team members and have access to community resources to work through any challenges you may face here.

We believe in growing our business with integrity, care, and safety. This starts with hiring talented and passionate people who want to help people have the best time in Lake Louise. It is our hope that every one of our staff has a valuable work and life experience with us.

Staff Housing

If you need a place to live while you’re working at Mount Robson Inn, we offer our employees housing at subsidized rates. Like most staff accommodations, you will have roommates and share the same space. House rules are in place and respect for others is a priority.
Cross Training

While you may have come on board to fill one position, you may develop an interest in another. We encourage team members to be cross-trained in other departments to develop skills and explore new opportunities. Empowerment for your specific abilities is the name of the game.
Advancement

Your professional growth is important to us. At times, supervisor and manager positions come up and we prefer to hire from within our own team, meaning you could have the opportunity to advance in leadership. Promotions are based on your work performance, cooperation, attendance, tenure, skill, and suitability.

Stay on the team for six months and we will happily sign you up to receive extended health and dental coverage.
